Experience:  Katrina Miller received her bachelor of arts degree in Theatre Directing and Design from Baylor University in 1989. In 1993, after working for several years in Broadcasting, she returned to school at TWU to obtain her alternative teacher certification and began teaching at the elementary level in Dallas. When her own children were diagnosed with learning difficulties, including dyslexia and autism spectrum disorder, she dedicated herself to learning everything she could to help them and decided to transition from the classroom to serving these exceptional students. She trained in academic language therapy through LEAD, Inc. in Dallas and received a master’s degree in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University in 2016. She has been a Certified Academic Language Therapist since 2013 and a licensed dyslexia therapist in Texas since 2017. This fall, she will begin training to obtain a license as a Qualified Instructor. She has served as a dyslexia specialist in Keller ISD since 2012.
